Quiet Merit is commercial software, not open source. A purchase grants a single-user license to use the app. This page is a plain-language summary of that license.
What you get
- A one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- Lifetime updates — all future versions are included at no extra cost.
- The right to install and use the app on your own devices, online or offline.
- Your journal data is yours; export it as JSON at any time.
What the license does not allow
- Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the app file.
- Sharing your copy, download link or access publicly.
- Removing or altering the ownership and copyright notices.
- Reusing the source for a competing product.
Ownership
Quiet Merit and its source code are the property of David Krusell. All rights reserved. The license grants the right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software itself.
Updates & support
Updates are delivered as new builds. Support is handled directly by the maker — email for help, bug reports or access questions.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It is a journaling and analysis tool; you are responsible for verifying your own data and decisions. See the disclaimer for the trading boundary.
